LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A simple camera could help save a life.
BraveBe Child Advocacy Center is requesting donations of Ring doorbell cameras to help protect families escaping abuse.
“The person who experienced harm should not be punished or penalized because of what happened to them,” said Bryce Marker, BraveBe’s domestic violence response coordinator.
For the team at BraveBe, safety doesn’t start with technology — but sometimes, technology can make safety possible.
“Having access to a Ring doorbell camera is incredibly important and can really help families have an assured sense of safety in their home,” Marker said.
The center is now asking the community to donate unused or new ring cameras to help families in crisis feel more secure as they rebuild their lives.
