COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) - The state agency that controls SNAP in Ohio is reviewing federal guidance regarding partial benefits in November.
SNAP benefits have been paused due to the government shutdown.
The federal guidance that Ohio Job and Family Services (ODJFS) is reviewing reduces the maximum benefit allowance by 50%. It also instructs states to recalculate the monthly benefit for each household using the updated framework.
ODJFS is working to come up with those updated benefit amounts and when those benefits will be dispersed.
