LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The NAACP Las Vegas branch announced the launch of a fund that will provide direct assistance to NAACP members who are federal employees impacted by the federal government shutdown.
The NAACAP Las Vegas Federal Workers Impact Fund will offer $300 emergency grants to help provide financial support during periods when paychecks and food subsidies are delayed or suspended due to federal employment disruptions.
The program is designed to "provide swift, tangible relief to members who are experiencing food and financial strain due to federal shutdowns," the NAACP said Tuesday.
