WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Wichita will soon be closer to knowing who will be its next city manager.
The Wichita City Council will meet at 8:30 a.m. Monday. Members will enter a closed-door executive session to meet with the City Manager Selection Committee and the recruitment consultant.
The council will hear about candidates to replace City Manager Robert Layton, who announced in April that he would be retiring at the end of the year.
After the meeting, the council is expected to announce the finalists for city manager at an afternoon press conference.
