FLOURTOWN — It was a familiar feeling for Mount Saint Joseph Academy as they entered the PIAA-2A state playoffs Tuesday afternoon.

Same as last year, the Magic were three days removed from a one-goal loss in the District 1-2A championship and had a matchup with Cardinal O’Hara to start their state playoff run.

Just like last year, they took care of business. (1-2) The Mount defeated (12-2) Cardinal O’Hara, 11-1, at Mount Saint Joseph Academy High School.

It was a strong performance by the offense after falling to Kennett, 1-0, in the district final last weekend. Caitlin Paul led the way with three goals while Julia McGlynn, Tess Hankins and Katie Tropiano each scored twice and Alexa Durand and Lydia Moy each scored once.
