Sara Wingfield trotted to the serving line in the closing set of a best-of-5 contest against another premier program in New Jersey, Union Catholic.

It was a set that was once tied at 10, but Wingfield and her Ramapo teammates rode a big-time run to find themselves leading by 14 points. Wingfield, a junior, swatted the match-winning ace to close out a straight-set win (25-22, 25-19, 25-14) over UC on Tuesday in Franklin Lakes to ready themselves in perfect form for what is expected to be a wild upcoming state tournament.
