CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Chicopee residents headed to the polls Tuesday to vote in local elections, with Mayor John Vieau running unopposed and key races for City Collector and City Council at stake.

In addition to the mayoral race, the election features a contested race for the office of City Collector, where Rajesh Sanghvi and Sandra Peret are vying for a four-year term.

Voters are also deciding on City Council positions at-large, particularly in Wards 2, 3, and 5. A ballot question is asking residents if they prefer to receive their property tax bills quarterly instead of twice a year.
