BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — After dropping their final three games of October, the Bridgeport Islanders secured a 2-1 home shootout victory over the Springfield Thunderbirds on Sunday to begin November with a bang.

The American Hockey League affiliate of the National Hockey League’s New York Islanders will look to stay unbeaten on the ice this month on Wednesday night.

Bridgeport (3-5-1) hosts the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (6-3) at 7 p.m. at Total Mortgage Arena. Lehigh Valley is the AHL affiliate of NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers.

It’s the first time the two teams square off during the 2025-2026 season.
