HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The City and County of Honolulu has extended the application deadline for rail-related Transit Construction Mitigation Fund submissions.
Eligible business owners now have until 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, to apply. The application window was originally scheduled to close on Thursday.
The Honolulu Department of Budget and Fiscal Services opened the online portal for applications on Oct. 20.
The fund was created to provide relief to local businesses impacted by the construction of the Honolulu Rail Transit Project.
Grants of $10,000 per applicant will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to available funding.
In order to be eligible for the grant, a business must meet the following requirements.
Generate $1 million or less in annual revenu
