CLEVELAND, Ohio — Johnny Manziel believes Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin still has work to do in his Heisman Trophy campaign despite the impressive season he has strung together.
Manziel, who won college football’s most prestigious individual award in 2012, acknowledged that the redshirt freshman has emerged as a leading contender but emphasized that a signature performance could make the difference.
“He’s playing really, really well going into the final month of the season,” Manziel said during an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s “Nightcap” show .
“Obviously, things change in the Heisman race, but when you look at Ohio State’s picture, the way that they’re playing, the way that he’s playing, you’d think all of us here agree he’s a shoe-in for New York. He’s going to end up as a
