TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A daytime service center for people experiencing homelessness has reopened after being closed for months.
What used to be called "The Shop" has been renamed "The Drop" in the Seminole Heights neighborhood.
A few months ago, one entire building on North Nebraska Avenue was completely empty, and now, it has been transformed. One of the rooms at The Drop has been transformed to a clothing boutique for people experiencing homelessness and who are in need of help.
There is a woman's section, this is the men's section, and they even have things as the weather is getting colder, they have handwarmers, socks, and hats.
For people like Jarrad McCall, having this space re-opened means the world.
