LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - At least three people were killed in a plane crash at a Louisville, Kentucky, airport on Tuesday.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said at least 11 others were injured during the crash and “catastrophic” fire, but he expects both of those figures to increase as the investigation unfolds.
“Please pray for the pilots, crew and everyone affected,” Beshear added.
Emergency crews responded to the plane crash at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport shortly after 5 p.m.
According to the FAA, the UPS aircraft crashed shortly after taking off while en route to Hawaii.
