OCEAN SHORES, Wash. — Human remains found on a Washington beach have been identified as a 51-year-old Tacoma woman, according to the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office.

On Oct. 22, deputies responded to reports of human remains on the beach near Ocean Shores. The remains were identified as Annie Michelle Fears, and officials have notified Fears’ family.

“Our hearts go out to them during this incredibly difficult time,” the sheriff’s office said on Nov. 4.

Officials are now seeking the public’s help in learning details about the incident. If you saw Fears, or know her, you’re asked to contact Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office Det. Justin Rivas at 360-964-1717.
