David Hagler, a newcomer, is leading the race to claim the New Caney ISD board of trustees Position 7 seat, early voting results posted on the the Montgomery and Harris counties election websites show.

Current situation

Hagler and four other challengers—Kristina Haggard, Gretta Rogne, Stacey Kiki Shipley and Larry Buford— are running for the Position 7 seat in November’s election, as previously reported by Community Impact . Incumbent Beth Prykryl opted not to run for reelection. Hagler has garnered 722 votes while Haggard follows with 511 votes, according to early voting totals. Rogne, Kiki Shipley and Buford have each received 153, 422 and 280 votes, respectively.
