ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - In the United States these days, no such thing as an off-election year exists anymore.

Nowhere is that more true than Georgia, which is coming off an historic 2024 general election and on Tuesday now stands to elect (or reelect) two members to the state’s hugely influential Public Service Commission.

Not to mention races for Atlanta mayor and a hotly contested race to succeed an outgoing city council president.

And all this is happening ahead of Georgia’s nationally watched 2026 midterms, where voters will elect a new governor and decide whether a sitting U.S. senator gets to keep his job for six more years.
