MAUMEE, Ohio — Voters are choosing four of seven candidates to fill at-large seats on Maumee City Council in the Nov. 4 election.
The candidates on the ballot are: Jon Fiscus, Isiah Gonzalez, Andrew Huyghe, Philip Leinbach, Dave Poeppelmeier, Scott Sund and Chelsea Ziss.
Winners will serve four-year terms. These results are unofficial until certified by the Lucas County Board of Elections.
This election follows a recent vacancy on council: member Scott Noonan resigned in July, prompting an interim appointment process ahead of the vote.
At a candidate forum earlier this month, contenders emphasized restoring trust, improving transparency and addressing infrastructure issues — in particular the city’s sewer and storm-water systems.
