NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) -- The city of North Myrtle Beach has elected a new mayor, and his name is J. Baldwin.

Baldwin, a longtime city council member and mayor pro tem, beat out former city manager Mike Mahaney and Troy Spencer in the race, unofficial results show. Baldwin is set to replace Marilyn Hatley, who is stepping down from her mayoral position after nearly two decades.
