GRAND FORKS – Grand Forks County commissioners plan to further discuss and potentially vote on changing county policies related to building closures during inclement weather, possibly resulting in changes to how some employees are compensated during those closures.
County Administrator Tom Ford on Tuesday presented commissioners with two possible policy changes: one that would update the county’s building closure policy, and one that would change compensation for essential employees, like those who work for the sheriff’s office, county jail, Youth Assessment Center and Grand Forks County Highway Department.
