CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval’s work isn’t done yet after voters re-elected him for another four years in office.

Following a violent summer, some of which caught national attention, this year’s mayoral election mainly focused on public safety and solutions to crime.

Pureval ended up defeating his Republican challenger, Cory Bowman, in a landslide vote in the November 2025 Mayoral Race.

The Democratic incumbent received 18,889 votes to Bowman’s 4,941, according to unofficial election results from the Hamilton County Board of Elections.

Out of the 190 precincts in Cincinnati, only two of them had more votes for Bowman. Those precincts are located in Sayler Park and Riverside.

This will be Pureval’s second consecutive term, meaning he cannot run for re-election.
