KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen ISD Board of Trustees has approved turnaround plans for three underperforming campuses , the district has announced.

The Board approved plans for Eastern Hills Middle School, Palo Alto Middle School and Manor Middle School on Tuesday, Nov. 4, according to Killeen ISD.

The turnaround plans come after the three campuses received consecutive "unacceptable" state accountability ratings from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). The TEA requires school districts to implement interventions when schools receive a D or F rating in consecutive years.

Manor received F ratings in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Palo Alto and Eastern Hills received a D in 2023 and an F in 2024 and 2025.
