A draft traffic study for Laconia and surrounding towns looking into traffic changes needed to accommodate the Laconia State School redevelopment calls for two new roundabouts and changes at 23 intersections around the area.
Pillsbury Development’s proposal calls for a new 2,050-unit housing development, called Laconia Village, as well as a supermarket and a hotel.
City officials said the engineers explain in the draft traffic study that it was done using the largest-case scenario for the developer’s plans. Individual studies will be prepared for each of three phases of the project, and those studies will deal with the specific traffic impact of each particular phase.
