Voters in Mahoning County were asked to renew two levies: one that helps senior citizens in the county and another for funding to support individuals with developmental disabilities.

Issue 1 (Senior Citizen Services) was approved by Mahoning County voters on Tuesday, with 28,416 votes in favor and 15,021 against the levy.

Issue 1 is estimated to generate $4,455,030 annually, at a cost of $22 per $100,000 of appraised property value, for a total of five years.

Issue 2 (Board of Developmental Disabilities) was approved by voters as well.
