Two propositions aiming to give technical education a boost in the West Valley were passing in early results on Tuesday.

Voters across a broad swath of the West Valley cast their ballots on two measures put forth by the Western Maricopa Education Center. Proposition 403, a $415 million bond, and Proposition 406, a property measure authorizing the sale, lease, or exchange of certain district-owned properties. The propositions aim to fund new campuses, facility upgrades, and program expansions to meet growing workforce demands.

As of 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, initial results showed Proposition 403 with 50.59% of voters in favor of the bond, and Proposition 406 with 62.61% of voters in favor of the measure.

Final results are expected later this week as ballots continue to be counted.
