Glendale Elementary School District employee earns leadership award

Ulises Montes honored by Arizona Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents

The Arizona Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents recognized a Glendale Elementary School District employee with the “De Todo Corazón” award, which means “With All One’s Heart.”

GESD Technician of Human Resources Ulises Montes earned the honor, which celebrates educators whose selfless acts make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, families and staff across Arizona’s school districts.

A lifelong member of the Glendale community, Montes grew up attending Harold W. Smith School, one of Glendale Elementary School District’s 12 schools, and later returned to serve as a campus monitor and school secretary before joining the district’s human resources department.
