Paschal is currently in the lead with 3,633 votes, or 62.3% of the vote. Ramirez has received 2,195 votes, or 37.6% of the vote, according to early voting results.

Ramirez previously ran for SCUCISD's Place 2 position in November 2023, filing under Alberto Ramirez, but lost to Margaret Carlin, according to previous Community Impact reporting .

Ramirez's priorities include supporting improved resources for teachers and transparency between the district and parents. Paschal's priorities include strengthening academics, boosting staff morale and supporting students.
