Two men have been charged for the murder of a Sydney man earlier this year.

John Versace , a 23-year-old man with no links to any criminal organisations, was shot in Condell Park on May 19 this year.

He suffered gunshot wounds to his chest and stomach and died at the scene.

Police at the time believed it may have been a case of mistaken identity.

A 43-year-old man from Casula and a 19-year-old man were today arrested and charged with murder.

Both were refused bail to appear at court today.
