URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) -- 18-year-old Samuel Garcia of Arcola was charged with four counts of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault for allegedly stabbing four different people Sunday.
The Urbana Police Department said the stabbing happened outside of a home at the intersection of Hunter and Lierman in Urbana around 5:45 p.m. They said they were dispatched after fielding several calls about a large fight.
Garcia was arraigned Tuesday at the Champaign County Courthouse, where an Assistant State’s Attorney -- William Cole -- brought up new details.
According to Cole, one of the victims said Garcia was angry about the mother of his child being in the home with her ex-boyfriend, one of the victims.
