CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) -- Illinois women's basketball got off to a 1-0 start to the season with a more than 20-point win over Southeast Missouri.
Berry Wallace set a new career high with 27 points and a double-double, leading the charge for Illinois to win 91-67 and start the year on the right foot.
"I think my teammates really helped," said Wallace, a sophomore this season. "I think, you know, they were able to get a lot of assists. I think I was able to get some really good looks based off my passes from my teammates, which I think was really helpful to get some easy buckets going."
