Bhubaneswar: Night temperatures have been falling across Odisha over the past two days and the cold wave is likely to intensify in the coming days, the Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Centre said on Tuesday.

Since Sunday night, most parts of the state have recorded a drop of 2–3°C.

According to IMD’s midday weather bulletin, the cold has become noticeable in many districts and is expected to increase further, with temperatures dropping by 1°C on Tuesday. They may rise slightly by 2°C on Wednesday before falling again from October 7.

Kandhamal is likely to witness a minimum temperature of 13°C on October 8. Other districts are expected to record lows of 14°C in Rourkela, 16°C in Sambalpur, and 15°C in Gajapati.
