The phone number used to call in a threat at a Dauphin County polling location on Tuesday has been linked to similar threats across central Pennsylvania, according to Lower Paxton Township Police.
Around 2:25 p.m., Paxtonia Elementary School received a phone call from a male who made a “veiled threat,” prompting the school to lock down for about 15 minutes.
Lower Paxton Township Police responded to the school and confirmed there was no threat, but did not include any further information about the incident.
Volunteers at the polling location said the lockdown started around 3 p.m. and lasted until just before 3:20 p.m. About 20 people who came to the school to vote were turned away during the lockdown.
