Springfield election turnout ‘slow but steady’ for full slate of candidates

SPRINGFIELD – With SNAP benefits being cut, many facing the loss of health insurance and a severe shortage of housing, Khali Maddox-Abdegeo said little would keep him from voting in Tuesday’s election.

“This local election will be more important than ever with what is going on with the national government,” he said. “This City Council race is very important.”
