AUSTIN, Texas — Austin ISD has revised its recommended school consolidation plan, removing three schools from the list of 13 schools on the closure and consolidation plan, according to a letter sent to families from Superintendent Matias Segura on Tuesday night.
The three schools now taken off the list are: Palm, Bryker Woods and Maplewood elementary schools.
The district’s consolidation plan is part of a broader effort to address declining enrollment and state-mandated turnaround plans for underperforming campuses.
