Northwood voters have denied re-election to two city council incumbents while putting four newcomers in office instead.
With all three of the city’s precincts reporting, Patrick J. McGarahan led the six candidates for four seats with 643 votes, unofficial returns showed. He was followed in order by Andrew Dickey, Terry L. Kretz, and Patrick Lynn Huntermark.
At the bottom of the list were Mark Stoner, a former Northwood mayor, and Louis Fahrbach.
In Wood County’s Middleton Township, meanwhile, a rookie candidate for township trustee strongly outpolled two incumbents in a race for two seats tinged by controversy about construction of a data center there.
With all five township precincts reporting, unofficial results showed Melissa Petrea with 1,156 votes, well ahead of Michael Moulton wi
