JACKSON, MI – Voters living in Ward 3 have selected Incumbent Angelita V. Gunn to continue serving on Jackson City Council.

On Tuesday, Nov. 4, Gunn received 261 votes defeating her opponent Jeromy Alexander, who received 200 votes, according to Jackson County election results.

Gunn was born and raised in Jackson and was elected to serve the city’s Third Ward in 2021. She serves as deputy director with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Victim Services.

Her top priorities in office will be crime prevention and neighborhood engagement, affordable street resurfacing and sustaining the momentum of the 100 Homes Project, according to a questionnaire from MLive/The Jackson Citizen Patriot.
