JACKSON, MI – Voters living in Ward 1 have selected Incumbent Arlene Robinson to continue serving on Jackson City Council.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, Robinson received 286 votes, defeating her opponent Dena K. Morgan, who received 234 votes, according to Jackson County election results.
Robinson was elected as the First Ward City Councilmember in 2013, winning re-election in 2017 and 2021. She worked in the banking industry for over 40 years.
In a questionnaire from MLive/The Jackson Citizen Patriot , Robinson highlighted her instrumental role in bringing a new grocery store to the southside.
The seat is non-partisan, meaning the candidates are not running under political party affiliations. Ward 1 covers the southside of Jackson.
