AKRON, Ohio — While there were no statewide issues in the 2025 Ohio general election on Tuesday , voters in Summit County decided a pair of local issues — including Issue 2, which focuses on property tax increases and how the county collects its tax revenue.

Both issues were approved by voters Tuesday night. Issue 1 received just under 57% support in favor of the measure, while nearly 80% of Summit County voters cast ballots in favor of Issue 2.
