MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A Memphis Police car struck a 13-year-old girl Monday morning, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

MPD said an officer was at the intersection of East Raines and Auburn at 7:42 a.m. when the officer's driver's side mirror hit the girl. First responders took her to the hospital, where she was treated for non-critical injuries and released, the police department said.

According to MPD, the officer was traveling with the right-of-way and passing a green light when the officer hit the girl. A spokesperson for the police department said that the girl was crossing the street against the no crossing signal.

As of Tuesday, MPD was still investigating the incident.
