Bhopal: The drug inspector took action against 3 medical stores in the capital for selling medicines to quacks without checking their registration numbers. The team conducted surprise inspections at Prasiddha Pharma and Drugs Deal Pharma in the Dawa Bazaar area, along with Krishna Pharma in Kolar.
During the inspection, drug purchase and sale registers, bills, and license documents were sought. Following unsatisfactory responses from Drugs Deal Pharma and Krishna Pharma, the purchase and sale of their medicines has been suspended with immediate effect. The department has initiated the process of issuing show-cause notices to both firms. Their licenses may be suspended if satisfactory responses are not received within the stipulated time.
