The Boston Red Sox have avoided arbitration with outfielder Jarren Duran this offseason, agreeing to terms on a new contract.
After a breakout 2024 season in which he was named an All-Star, Duran put together a solid 2025 campaign, though he didn't perform at the same level as last season. The 29-year-old slashed .256/.332/.442 this season with 16 home runs and a career-high 84 RBIs while appearing in 157 games.
Last offseason, the Red Sox gave Duran a club option worth $8 million for 2026, but declined it, instead signing him to a one-year, $7.7 million contract, according to MassLive's Christopher Smith.
