AYDEN, N.C. (WITN) - At Ayden-Grifton, a new club has taken the school by storm, it’s known as ‘Stable Sports Center.’

Founded last spring by four students, the group has quadrupled in size, and the viewership has grown exponentially.

“I think our first stream had two viewers,” the group leader/teacher Ben Rollins said, “and then we just had 700 for the (volleyball) state championship.”

Split into three sections, the group focused on live game streams on YouTube, a weekly sports update show (Stable Sports Center) & running social media.

In students’ relaxed period of the school day, they have the choice to join any classroom, as now 19 have chosen this one, which they feel is very different and interesting compared to some more traditional subjects.
