Hyderabad: A mobile ethanol-powered 150 kW DC fast charger, the ME Energy Rapid Charger 150 was launched here by ThunderPlus and Trinity Cleantech marking a step toward grid-independent, sustainable EV infrastructure in India.

Unlike conventional chargers that require grid infrastructure and long approval timelines, this ethanol-based unit is fully operational within 72 hours and can be deployed anywhere. It reduces Carbon Dioxide emissions by up to 80 per cent compared to diesel and slashes setup costs and time by over 50 per cent, a company press release
