New Delhi, Nov 05: DRDO has made notable advancements in semiconductor technology, according to the Ministry of Defence.

It has developed indigenous methods for producing 4-inch Silicon Carbide wafers and fabricating Gallium Nitride High Electron Mobility Transistors up to 150W.

DRDO is actively participating in the Emerging Science, Technology, and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2025 in New Delhi, where it will lead a session on Electronics & Semiconductor Manufacturing.

The conclave, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to foster collaboration among various stakeholders in the science and technology ecosystem and promote a private sector-driven research and innovation landscape in India.
