QUAKER CITY, Ohio (WTRF) — Voters in Quaker City elected four candidates to its village council during Tuesday’s election. According to final unofficial results from the Guernsey County Board of Elections, the winners were: • Don Burkhart – 59 votes (22.61%) • L. Ray Lucas – 47 votes (18.01%) • Savannah Conrad – 46 votes (17.62%) • Leota Alwine – 43 votes (16.48%)
Additional candidates who ran included Kimberly Canel (35 votes, 13.41%) and Brandon Gardine (31 votes, 11.88%).
With these results certified, the new council members will take office and begin addressing local matters such as infrastructure, community services and village governance in Quaker City.
