County
It comes as small surprise that Ulster County comptroller March Gallagher, county clerk Taylor John Bruck, and two countywide judicial candidates didn’t have opponents in the November 4 election. The county as a whole is strongly Democratic. To win a countywide vote, a Republican candidate without Democratic crossover would need more than 70 percent of the voters of unaffiliated small parties and those not enrolled in any party. That’s a heavy lift.
