FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. – A measure in Franklin County Fire District 1 to increase their levy from 39 cents to 85 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value, is passing with 52% of the vote after the first tally of results from the November election was released Tuesday night.
Elsewhere, in Walla Walla County, Michael Cleveland is moving forward in the uncontested mayoral race for the City of College Place.
In an interesting twist, Brent Potts, with 19 votes, trails behind the initial tally for Write-Ins, which stands at 22 votes, in the mayoral race for the City of Prescott.
The City of Waitsburg sees a significant lead in its mayoral race, with Marty Dunn receiving 83% of the vote over Brad Sandau.
