A West Australian man will front court on dozens of horrific charges after he allegedly used social media apps to groom children before sexually assaulting them.

The 34-year-old man from Dawesville, south of Perth, will appear at Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday on 59 charges, 38 of them against children.

“The alleged incidents occurred between 2022 and 2025,” WA Police said on Wednesday.

“It is alleged the man used phone text messaging and social media applications to meet and establish a connection with young girls (12 to 15 years) who he groomed before arranging to meet them in person and sexually assaulting them.”
