Maharashtra's infrastructure committee has approved a redesigned Uttan-Virar Sea Link that slashes costs by over ₹30,000 crore while expanding connectivity. The 55.12-km project now features six lanes instead of the previously proposed eight, with streamlined ramps modelled after Mumbai's successful Coastal Road design.
