HUNTINGTON — Marshall University football coach Tony Gibson said some tough love was given out during a review of film from a loss to Coastal Carolina.

The Thundering Herd had four turnovers in the third quarter and finished with five in last Thursday's game, losing after leading by 10 points on three occasions.

“It’s hard to swallow. When you watch the film, it’s gross,” Gibson said. “You’ve got to get it fixed. That’s not coach talk. I’m just telling you the truth. It was a long day for the team on Sunday. We watched offense and defense with 105 guys in this meeting room. It lasted about an hour and a half.
