State pension age to be reviewed by UK Government amid fears that 45% of workers are not saving

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has outlined financial help available for women impacted by changes to their State Pension age. DWP Minister Dame Diana Johnson said the UK Government “believes the best way to support women who will be affected by the rise in State Pension Age is to help them to retrain, return to or progress in work”. ‌

The comments came in a written response to Conservative MP Stuart Anderson, who asked ‘what steps the DWP is taking to help support women affected by increases in State Pension age’ in his South Shropshire constituency. ‌
