As results of the election rolled in around Cleveland County on Nov. 4, voters chose new and familiar faces to serve on boards around the county.
According to the Cleveland County Board of Elections, a total of 4,670 ballots were cast out of a potential 65,965 for a turnout of 7.08%.
Kings Mountain was the most contested race, attracting intense debates and active campaigning as 11 candidates vied for three seats.
Voters chose three new candidates to the board, winning over two incumbents, although one is familiar to council.
Former Mayor Scott Neisler, who served for several terms until he was defeated by Rob Wagman in 2023 , threw his hat in the ring for the at-large seat and according to the unofficial results, he won with 723 votes. Phil Dee was second with 403, and Curtis Pressley
